I got scammed!!! bad!!! I posted on craigslist that the boyfriend and i are looking for a roomate. this lady by the name of ;'lillian wayne' responds saying shes interested from like ND. She sent pix and everything...she then said she sending money my way to cash in and keep it for her half rent and then for all her shit she's sending her belongings like car and furnitures and what not... I got the check today. for some 3 thousand dollars. I was like    whatever!~!! So the boyfriend thought something was funny about that..so he called the place the check is from... and he said its a scamm! I HATE those low life mutherfuckers!!! GRR!!!!!! I was excited for a roomate :(. It wasnt even a check with her name on or anything!!! My boyfriend previously got scammed from craiglist too about a cell he was selling and it took like 6 monhts for him to get the phone back when he foundout it was a fake.... assholes. any of you have this happend b4??

Replies Rainbow Blight Posted at 11:23 pm on Jan. 9, 2009 Oh yeah, I almost got scammed on Craigslist.  Someone was offering a $55/hr job and I corresponded with him for a few weeks before he started asking for certain personal information.  Fortunately I was smart enough to realize this guy was a scammer from Iowa instead of a man from Denmark looking for a tutor for his son.  I made a topic about it.
