im asking because for the past year i've thought "well if i get away from people and just think, just think "what bad experience is causing this?" or "what would so and so do?" and "if i act a certain way i'll feel better about myself"...

morbid introspection is probably the better term, since everyone has some of it, just when it about drives you nuts that you can't drive your car or talk to people its bad.

is there any real point in it? or reading self help books, because your convinced people can't help you?
maybe im thinking too much lol.

yeah thats probably my biggest goal. problem is, i think it makes me come off selfish. and i definitely FEEL that way.
it does seem selfish because in a way ur only thinking about yourself and what others think of you.  I know because ive been through this myself

yeah thats what i thought. but what if your view of the real world seems kind of fuzzy and shattered, and you really never learn anything? i know it's a weird question but bear with me. like your so nervous that you can't take the time to learn from life. like that...
it is one of lifes great lessons to learn how to not care about what any other person thinks of you, that's your main struggle in life, but if u try hard some day u will overcome it trust me on that

Introspection has helped me solve many of my problems actually. It is a very useful thing to do. All the wisdom that I have acquired was through introspection. Introspection + hindsight = wisdom.

u are overdoing it
its only useful if u have experience in real life situations to think about and back your introspection up with
rather than sitting at home all day thinking about nothingness
