It is. The planet has been here like 100 billion years of more, it's lasted through dinosaurs, tectonic plates shiftin around, earthquakes, volcanoes, tornadoes, tidal waves, asteroid hits and every other kind of shit you can possibly think of, and people think that some PLASTIC BAGS and ALUMINUM CANS are gonna make a difference? Bullshit. Listen, the world's been through a lot worse than us humans and our styrofoam and our cars that get less than 40 mpg. (Gasp.) So please, PLEASE, fuck off saying that the world is gonna end because it's heating up. Hey man, I like the sea, and I hate the snow. If we get more sea and less snow, I can't see a downfall here. Then another few hundred years'll pass, the sea will drop I dunno, like 4 inches and the snow will return (Causing a global cooling scare, I'm sure) and then the ecotards will find something else to bitch about.

Ah, well, I might feel differently if I had to shovel. Ha ha.

But it's beautiful (here anyway, I'm sure in NYC it's gross-looking and it gets me 2 hour delays, sometimes snow days.  Nothing against it. :)

But I love snow. ;_;
Me too, kinda. The only reason I hate it is because I gotta shovel that shit. It's heavy.

Most people don't truly care for the planet itself, they just don't want humans to die out.

Exactly.

I humbly disagree for factual reasons and more intellectual theories. Tra la la.
Finally, someone who believes in global warming who goes at the topic with a slight trace of intelligence. You give me hope for this world, miss Raven.

Note: The people of this world, not the world itself. Idiots.

Well, I believe in global warming. However, I do not agree that humans are the ones causing it. I believe we do our horrible part. I don't see any way to disagree with that, but I don't see any reason to say that humans have caused it.
I agree that the Earth has gone through these changes before, but the argument, as I see it, is not about the planet in peril. It's about the inhabitants of the planet not being able to cope. And that is being proven, just look in the arctic regions.

The sea level rising will cause problems. It will cause currents to carry the water differently based on temperature. It is the arctic regions that will suffer the most in the future.

That's my stance.

And a very valid one at that. It's these "OMG SAVE TEH ANIMALZ!!!one" fucktards I'm ranting about. Well done, m'lady.

Fossil fuels are damaging to the environment though.

Fossil fuels are made from material is that is fossilized (hence the name). The carbon contained in those materials hasnt been in play for thousands of years, and it will be thousands of years before our massive waste content breaks down again. By burning it, it reintroduces that CO2 into the air. Since carbon is denser than oxygen, nitrogen, and generally everything else that is in our atmosphere, it traps solar radiation in our atmosphere.

This solar radiation heats up the waters that were at one time cool, creating the optimal growing environment for certain breeds of plankton, which where important parts for turning some of that CO2 back into oxygen, as well as providing energy to animals that would later trace back into the our food web (fish comprises a vast majority of the worlds food source).

As this plankton dies, it creates a downward spiral.

Its about sustainability. Our waste should be the direct byproduct of plant and animal material, which would be the product of the recently created energy, which has a byproduct of oxygen, which is required for mammals to live.

Instead, we are using material that has been out of play for so long, its no longer relevant, which is in turn killing the plants we depend on for survival.

Exactly. It's like Mother Nature is having menopause, frequent changes in temperature. Fucking deal with it. There's no crisis, no need to whine about shit you have no effect on, especially to those of us who need more than one hand to count their IQ.

your a dumb ass.
people like you WILL kill all of us.
you are just tooo fucking lazy to change your life for the good of teh planet.
how do you fucking know what the planet can withstand? like wtf how would you ever know?
and have you even researched this? horrible things are ALREADY happening... please stfu and talk about things you know... liek video games you loser

What can the planet withstand? Did you even read that? One bigass continent splitting itself up, volcanoes, meteors hitting, hurricanes, tidal waves... all of this shit BILLIONS OF YEARS BEFORE INTELLIGENT LIFE EVER EXISTED. Then humans showed up, and made some plastic. Then the humans who haven't evolved brains yet bitch and whine about how the plastic is killing the world. Have I researched it? Extensively, whereas you probably only believe what Fox News tells you to believe and then lie awake at night about how that water bottle you drank out of two weeks ago is in a landfill now, slowly destroying the earth. Also, I don't play video games. A select few are good but for the most part, I avoid them. Also, yeah, people like me probably will kill all of us, but not by not reusing plastic bags. I'll probably kill of SOME of us, not all of us, but SOME when I snap after hearing one more ecotard like you bitch about this shit and then i'll proceed to pop some heads with an assault rifle or something, but that's besaide the point. Global warming is a lie. The end.

Oh, and Santa isn't real. Merry christmas, dumbfuck.

Did you know that these kinds of temp changes are apart of the earths natural cycle
SilverDoor Posted at 7:09 pm on Sep. 6, 2008
Yeah, listen to this guy!
Since global warming is bullshit, we have NO REASON to stop polluting, smoking, driving big cars, eating fat foods, killing animals. I mean, whats the world going to do, die on us? Screw that, lets EXPEND!
