'I really appreciate the great support I have received from the BBC over the last few years and would never intentionally do anything to undermine the integrity of the corporation.' It is the latest in a string of deceny rows to engulf the BBC. Last month Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand were criticised for leaving prank calls row on Andrew sachs answerphone. Brand quit his Radio 2 show, while Ross, who is reportedly paid £6 million a year by the BBC, held onto his job but was suspended for three months without pay.
