It's all bullshit.  The concept of "being yourself" is flawed.  Who you are changes all the time.  You get older, wiser, more mature. The trick is to be happy with who you are.

Love yourself.  Do your own thing. It's the only way to true happiness.

To be yourself comes with certain implications. How do you act on your desires? Have you been lazy or not proactive of late?

Being yourself does not simply imply being within your body, or maturing mentally, but also ritually. The person you are is determined by your actions. So act on your ambitions.

And in doing this, I think I'm being myself.

True, who you are changes a lot, but your inner self stays the same. I am getting to know that part of me, and with that is coming lots of happiness.

I was touching upon the fact that there seems to be such a huge hype with "being yourself".  Couldn't you agree to the fact that kids put so much stuck on being different under the misconception that they are truely being themselves that they end up falling into routines and fads?
