You: Hey! Them: Hey... You: What's up? Them: nothing too much.....how about you? You: Oh, I'm just doing (thisthisandthis) Them: That's cool...are you excited for school?
Seriously, stop. I don't know what you mean by those "....". Maybe you intended no harm, maybe you did, but what I see when people do "....", it makes me think you don't want to talk to me. Or you have something to say but won't say it.
I have a lot of friends who have a habit of doing that, and honestly, it just kills the conversation for me.
It's the equivalent of literally trailing off your voice while talking to someone.
