I had yet to buy my best friend her birthday gift. She told me the day before yesterday her digital camera broke, so... as her birthday gift... I spent $139.99 dollars on her camera, and a 3 year warranty (just b/c I'LL be the one to break it.) Is this ridiculous spending?   Idc. She's like my life lol.

If you have the money and you're willing to spend it then its all good. To be perfectly frank, I don't think its really what it is or how much or how little it costs - its more the whole concept of the thought you put into it. You knew she needed a new one... that makes it perfect. I always seem to spend a lot of money on people - cause I end up getting them things they wouldn't want to buy for themselves.
