Okay, So I just installed MSN Messenger, but It was the wickked old version, so I updated the software..
One Problem..
It doesnt show that I updated, and everything is the same.
I cant for the life of me figure out how to succesfully update, though I'm sure it's something incredibly simple.
Does anyone here Know how to help me?

After you updated the computer, did you restart?
You need to.

It cannot update files that are in use.

try restarting your comp. if that doesnt work uninstall it if it still says you have it installed on your hard drive, and then re-install it  :]

Try resetting the computer.  Or atleast completely closing the software (like in Task Manager then Processes.. that's the only way you can really close a program sometimes)
