My roommate this year was really understanding, and let the closeness come slowly, and I surprised myself because I was able to get close to her in a matter of months. Then, once I get to know them, I'm very social, loud, all that jazz. Then if I feel like I'm getting to know them too well, I start to get a bit anti-social towards them for some reason.
