I got two interviews, one with the local news, one that will be in tomorrows newspaper.

Newspaper: http://tinyurl.com/nxkj7s

News (the video): http://www.wcjb.com/news/4338/sign

I feel like we're actually starting to make a difference!

Gotcha. That does make some sense then.

Why would they place the center in a wealthy area...? That alone doesn't make much sense to me.

Well, it's an "outreach center" somewhat evolved into a church (and only a church). They still give a few things away, not nearly what they used to though. The church has been around for 25 years, so the town sort of morphed into what it is today with the church staying in the same spot. It was a poor area of town when it was first built.

Are you serious? I hate it when people think it's just fine to bash other religions and beliefs. What happened to focusing more on helping other people instead of trying to improve your egos?

Exactly. I think this church is just after the media attention, but they're getting a lot more than they asked for. Hundreds of people have left the church in the past week because of what's going on. They will lose their funds, and hopefully go under completely.

It's really sad if you think about it. Having such a place go under due to politics within a church is absolutely silly and selfish. I bet they have quite a few locals who depend on them for assistance. What will happen to them when the center goes down?

It is sad, but luckily the specific area of town is one of the wealthiest. There are plenty of much better churches in the area with a much better and more widely accepted (not hateful) message that can assist those who need it.

Good for you!

People like him just drive people farther apart when what we need right now is for people to come together.

If I lived there, I'd be protesting as well.

I'm glad. I find it weird that that's allowed. It's so unfair.

I couldn't agree more.

Huh.

I don't think I understand your message. Can you sum it up in a sentence?

We're against the fundamentalist fucktards who think that putting up a sign that reads "Islam is of the devil" is ok- especially in a neighborhood that's full of Islamic families. We're showing the public how terrible this church is, and how ignorant the pastor is.
