.....instead of vanilla in my iced latte at mcdonalds. they better be glad i'm not allergic to hazelnut or they would be sued big time......

these are things i think about.....but i have a friend who's severely allergic to certain nuts. this could have really hurt her if it did in fact happen to her.....

people really need to pay attention to the orders...

oh well *sips hazelnut latte*

Smell.

Hazel nut and vanilla are different.

yea it's obvious when you taste it. but be honest: how often do you smell every bit of food or drink before you eat/ drink it?

and plus: bring this case to court and you'd win. the judge isn't gonna snidely say "you should have smelled your drink" because the service is the one who messed up, not you. believe me i've heard of so many ridiculous cases where someone sued a company for the stupidest thing and ended up winning. i am against that but i'm just making the point that the suer (sp?) would most likely win, especially when dealing with medical cases. and this situation actually has to do with someone's life

It would actually be your fault since you did not correct it.

That's like suing McDonalds for putting salt on your fries.

are you kidding.....hmm....so you sip a drink that looks like what you ordered and then realize it's wrong as your throat swells up and you can't breathe.

no it would not be my fault. it takes one sip. not to mention, like i told the first replier, i was home and my mom ordered it for me then arrived home and my drink was not what was ordered

Why didn't you correct it? o.o

my mom was out and called asking what i wanted from mcdonald's and funny thing is that i said i wanted an iced mocha but for some reason she easily forgot and asked for a vanilla and when she got home i sipped it and it was very unmistakably hazelnut. lol
