Before starting college in August I need to read Persepolis 2 (which I read is 2-3-4 in the US). Anywho.

I need to know if I need to read number 1 to understand number 2. If so, I'll order number 1 as I already have number 2.

Also, I can't sleep.

I'd rather read a book anytime over the movie. However, after reading the books, I will watch the movie.

I only suggested the movie because it sounded like you didn't want to read the first book. I think the graphic novel is okay, but a little dry. The movie is a pretty good sum of it all.

Not really.

And, if anything, just pick up the movie.
