me and my fiance have a child toggether and we dont have a room for her yet so she sleeps in bed with us. the question if you had a child would you make love in bed while your daughter/son was in bed with you? or if you have a child already has this been something you have tried?

I didn't say the child is what aroused them, but if you can look at a child and still be aroused... you are sick.
If i was having sex & I saw a baby next to me, I'd be turned off & not want to continue until I am sure someone is watching the kid & it isn't in my sight while I'm fucking.

I don't think it would be a big deal. Honestly, we're sexual beings. I do not see how that is going to harm a child. You would have to show me proof that the act of sex, when not forced on someone and in the vicinity of a child is harmful. Sex is natural and nothing to be ashamed of or hide, and if anything being open about it will teach children to embrace their sexuality.

Am I saying have sex where ever, when ever and in front of who ever you want? No. But I don't think hiding it or avoiding it will do anyone any good. An infant wont remember, and it wont be scarred because it isn't a traumatic experience. To say they will be is an over reaction.  There's a fine line that can be crossed in terms of what's appropriate and inappropriate and that's for the parents to decide.

So yeah, I wouldn't care.

How old is the baby?

If you don't think it's appropriate, you could get an inexpensive bassinett or, as one person suggested, use a box with appropriate lining, etc.

It doesn't really matter I mean they wont remember it or have any clue as to what you are doing.

You're as fucked as the OP. What if it was an infant? What if during the...ahem...business, you or your SO rolls over the child and suffocates them?

I really don't see why it matters. They wont care. They would just need to be careful. though I don't see why putting the child in an open empty small box isnt an option.

in general they frown on storing babies in boxes, just fyi.

Did you think before saying that? I said small, and open. It could breathe. Theres really no big deal.

its just odd to me that you would recommend a box specifically. there are tons of baby storage implements out there, pack and plays, bassinets, booster seats, floor mats, etc.

box seems odd.

I say a box because they don't have a bed for the kid yet a and I figure they don't want to go out the money they are saving for a bed on something else and a box is easy to find for free and would keep them from crawling about if they woke up

I'd be worried that, even if the child won't "remember", that it could still scar them or cause emotional issues down the line. Babies take everything in, they're constantly growing, learning, and developing; I don't want my sex life to be a part of that.

AMEN!
I think the only people who can get aroused while seeing a child, probably like child porn or want to fuck children... I think their kid has some fucked up parents.

I can't just look at a child right next to me and still be aroused.

They're not getting aroused by the child, so your claim about child porn is completely unfounded and likely an off-base emotional outburst.
biflexible Posted at 7:11 am on April 3, 2012
For those who say that it doesn't matter if the child cannot remember it is not as simple as having a conscious memory of an incident or not, memory and the unconscious is far more complex than that. It is when a young child (read: baby) is utterly dependent on their parents for survival that they are most vulnerable and often the scarring that occurs in this time period is never able to be articulated as a conscious memory in the grown adult.

Whether healthy, loving sex is going to scar a baby is one thing but to say that they will not "remember" it and therefore it is OK, is completely wrong.

Lol you kids. Acting like its so weird/gross/unhealthy

Firstly, it's sex - nothing nasty about that
Secondly, the kid isn't even going to know or remember

im mostly concerned about the safety issues.

tbf she also did not clarify how old the kid was. if they are 4 they damn sure are going to remember.

ScoobieDoobie Posted at 6:11 am on April 3, 2012

thats gross, because I cannot be aroused while looking at a child, or knowing a child is less that a foot away from me & probably looking at me. YUCK!

Next thing you know, you will have a 3 some with the child & wife, you sick bastard!
