In all seriousness, I would want to be a teaching store, for teachers on a budget. Do yall know how ridiculously expensive it is to buy teaching materials? Also, I'd have a big printer where teachers could print out packages they got from Teacher Pay Teacher for a very cheap print out rate. (Printing those stupid units is expensive, especially in cardstock and in color!)
how would you make $
The mark up rate for some of the teaching materials is ridiculous. I would make a ton of money by cutting, laminating and printing the materials from teacher pay teacher. I know I'd personally pay someone money to do that for me. Check out teacher pay teacher.. its got units and oodles of things teachers can pay to download. Printing, laminating, and preparing them is the big time consumer (And money eater) |

A health house maybe. Way out in the boonies. With ponds and trees and a park and a trail for hiking. Several rooms for sleeping (like an inn) and then a meditation room with pillows and silence... and another meditation room with pillows and music. an organic cafe where guests can eat their meals. a green house where guests can pick their own vegetables and have them made into a salad or a soup or a sandwich. a homeopathy station where guests can pick up their oils or extracts and be treated for mild ailments, a massage center, a sauna, a spa, a dance studio where yoga and dance and other classes are taught, a day camp for the children, music lessons and instruments to rent out for the music lessons...:) and far enough away from everything else that guests would need to get there by train or maybe a small airport. but I think I'd prefer trains bringing my guests rather than planes landing on my field. yeah. :) that's my biggest dream and the only one that's ever stuck out in my mind. |

| A railroad. It could be small at first. A Class III branch line, perhaps connecting larger freight carriers. Or better yet a passenger line. I could lease track rights from an already established railroad to save money. I wouldn't need more than two or three locomotives to start off. I suppose the biggest infrastructure related hurdle would be to build stations/depots/maintenance facilities. |
