People treat you a million times nicer if you're a girl, and people care about you

Life is easier for a girl

I hate when people whine about ANY kind of privilege. It really gets on my (metaphorical) tits. Just shut the fuck up, accept that everybody's different and work towards making your life good if you don't think it is atm. It's not my fault/choice that I am who I am, just the same as it's not the fault/choice of anyone trans/cis/black/female. I'll accept people for who they are (if they're pleasant company) and I don't appreciate getting flak for something I have no control over.

So this is me saying 'Yes, I'm a white, middle class, straight, cisgendered male, and if you don't like it then fuck you'.

Girls don't generally get fired from their jobs if they have some hair on their legs.  Hell they don't even get fired when they have thick facial hair.

The statement "life is easier if you're a girl" is kind of disgusting. Girls don't have it any easier than guys do, just sayin. There are a lot of things girls have on their plates that guys don't even think about.

Like shaving and menstruation.

If you are a good-looking young girl, and even then they don't always take you seriously.

Men and Women are equally CIS privileged scum. Why dont you think about the real victims of discrimination for once?

if we're getting all social justice up in here, treating the categories of man and woman as exclusive to cis people is pretty cissexist.

CIS privilege is much stronger than racial privilege. If you are a non-CIS person you will be discriminated against by CIS people regardless of your race.

the latter statement may be true, but the overwhelming majority of anti-trans violence is directed at trans women of colour.

this is a good read, if you're interested.

So like middle class white males? Not being a poor member of a "minority" race disqualifies me for a lot of shit, mostly when it comes to financial aid.

What have you done to check your white privilege lately?

I've been trying to organise trans*-friendly awareness sessions at my femsoc, but being cis I have no idea what I'm doing/talking about. My job is very hawkward.

Thats good, very good. Nice to see that there are some CIS people that are aware of their privilege and try to combat it.

Lots of sucker guys look the other way when females don't carry their own load, and in many places there are flat out lowered standards for females.

You're pretty stupid aren't you?

I wouldn't have said anything if I haven't faced actual sex discrimination in employment.  There are lots of people who get mad over the fact that an adult male is in the field of early childhood education.

Charlei Posted at 4:56 am on July 18, 2012
LMFAO.  I do carry my own weight, I wouldn't be here otherwise, but that doesn't mean anything to them.  Also, not mad, I'm an officer...lulz.

Come back when you have actually experienced it, and not just heard about it...
