Sure theres always the chance of going on a bad trip and freaking the fuck out but come on.

For starters it's produced in the brain and when you sleep it's released causing you to dream. So it's like you're committing a crime everytime you sleep.

And then some people like to use it for religous and cultural reasons but i don't really see how the two connect.

Also the high only last about 10 minutes with a comedown of 20 minutes to an hour.

Plus it's only a schedule 1 drug in the US. That's the same as weed!

Anyone here ever try it?

You guys need to read the experience stories on erowid.org about dmt. Dimethyltriptamine is a very very strong hallucinogen and it should stay illegal.

Hmm, I haven't tried this but it doesn't sound like it's all that serious... most likely much safer than any prescription drug you can be prescribed! You know, the ones that are legal for some strange reason while drugs like weed are not.

i've tried it a few times. it's a nice, short trip.

i don't know why it's illegal. i imagine it's because someone, somewhere, realized people were using it for mind-altering, feel-good reasons, and went about making it illegal.

The short answer is that our drug laws follow cultural conceptions of what is deviant, not empirical conceptions of what is harmful.

For starters it's produced in the brain and when you sleep it's released causing you to dream.
That's theorized but not proven.

And then some people like to use it for religous and cultural reasons but i don't really see how the two connect.
If a law has a secular purpose and isn't aimed at a religion it can prohibit free practice, which is why religion generally isn't a legal defense for illicit drug use.

Yes.

I think I'd question why weed is illegal before I'd question that shit.
