I'm recovering from an eating disorder, but during a relapse I'm going through, I guess I hadn't kept anything down in a few days.  I got a high fever yesterday, it lasted most of the day, and then when I ate something, it immediately went way down.  I'm just wondering if that is coincidence.  Can you get a fever from not eating in a long time?  And would the fever immediately cease after eating?  Why would that happen, if so?

Not eating weakens your immune system making it difficult to fight of bacteria, viruses, diseases, stuff like that...Infections too.

So by not eating you may have made yourself susceptible to illness.

So you may be coming down with something.

^ this...and added to that, food gives you energy, protein, strength and just all around helps you and your brain function much better, so if you deprive yourself of that, yeah, you're gonna get sick and weaker, and you won't be able to do school work as well as you did WITH food.

I've had that happen before. You don't eat, and you feel like crap, but then you eat and feel so much better. I'm not really sure why that is though.

I doubt that

I've definitely had that happen.
