| Its obvious u have never suffered from and addiction I'm bullimic I never planned to be but I kinda guess u csn say I fell into it it was one time I ate to much and had to throw up I felt so much better afterwards it started off slow like once every other week theb two times every other week then twice a week then everyday today women are told that to be beautiful u have to be thin the more I looked around I noticed that I didn't look like these people and I remeber I lost a few pounds from purging. Being bullimic is not somethin u want to drag urself into I don't even kno why u care like any other addiction bullimia is a hard one to break |

i became bulimic because of an allergic reaction to prozac. i was hospital because the reaction was so bad. i couldn't hold anything down whether i wanted to or not. But from that i learnt how to control it. I see my bulimia as something that is out of my control and i most certainly do not want to remain bulimic |

No It feels like something is controlling you. Its a compulsion. You hate your self so much that you dont really give a fuck if it kills you. You might feel that there is an emotional hole in you that you just want to fill and the only way that you know how to is through food, but once you fill up you feel disgusting and that hole is still there... So you get rid of it.
well put =] this. also, in more extreme cases, you don't need to manually do anything. your body is so trained you start gagging as soon as you're through with a meal, or see a toilet. it's a cycle of guilt and redeption. guilt for binging, redemption in purging... it's like any other addiction. of course someone addicted to cigarettes could CHOOSE not to have one...but they would still want one, and keep thinking about it until they blow up, or cave in.

its pyschological its something in their brain telling them to do it, they can't control whats happening to them because they think its right
same reason. They also have physical standards that they feel the need to live up to |

Because the world tells women they must be thin to be beautiful.
Why do guys do it? |

| Lack of selfesteem and emotional problems. Things that have happened in your past. |

| It's not their fault. There's a psychological aspect to it. |

| Because the world tells women they must be thin to be beautiful. And they tell men they must be buff to get girls. Fix'd because I can't quote OP's reply. |
