It said to drink hot water with 2-4 tablespoons of salt and I decided to do it. WRONG IDEA. Im babysitting. It didnt work and I cant throw up. I have all of this salt in my body and I dont know what to do and I dont want to put the kids in any kind of danger if something happens to me. I feel horribly sick. Advice PLEASE SOON!

The lowest published oral lethal human dose for sodium chloride is 1000mg/kg which is 54.4g for a 120lb person. Don't panic, you'll probably be alright, but it might be a good idea to call poison control (1-800-222-1222). ohhithere Posted at 6:27 pm on Nov. 8, 2008 Well, that's KIND OF a salt water flush(which is 32 ounces of room temperature/warm water, two tablespoons of sea salt, so I don't know how well your version will do), but it's not suppose to make you poop...actually have diarrhea, flushing out your system kind of.
