I was talking to a friend who was telling me about her past eating disorder. It came up in a class, she wanted to get it off her chest...yeah.

She told me that she was anorexic, and that she had tried to make herself throw up, but she couldn't do it.
At that point, I was skeptical. She swore to me that she did everything another friend had told her. She had put her finger down her throat, even put perfume on it.

Now, she's not the type to lie about something serious, but is that even possible? I thought all you had to was touch the uvula and then you threw up.

It takes a while for you (and your gag reflex) to get used to it... she probably wasn't as hysterical with guilt as I know I get.

You should believe her.

it's harder than it looks. i had two failed attempts before i actually threw up. but by the time you have the hang of it there's usually something wrong.

Apparently some people just cant get a strong enough gag reflex... and it doesn't come up immediately.
Probably made the same mistakes I made when I started

That's not necessarily true.. I can touch my uvula and play with it xD So she probably did have a problem

Someone else told me that. I just wasn't sure. In everything you see, they just touch it and puke.

I've had a girl lie to me about having cancer, so I get kind of skeptical concerning medical issues.

I don't know. But I have never managed to make myself throw up either.

It's kind of hard to make yourself throw up. I was nauseous the other day and put my whole fist down my throat and all I could do was gag.

She probably hesitated and didn;t do it properly, but didn;t realize it.
