Ok well I was told by my therapist yesterday that I had an ed. She said she wasn't going to tell my parents just yet, but if I come in next week and am still doing the same thing she's going to tell her. So if you've ever had to tell your parents that you had an eating disorder; How did they take it??
I can't stop. If I stop I'll start back gaining weight. I know she's going to tell her, I'm just afraid of my parents reaction. She said that my mom knows that I have an eating problem, because she's talked to my mom about it. I just can't though.

Its good though that you're getting help. Because your therapist knows how to help you. I know that you feel that eating anything will cause you to gain weight, but it won't. Just be sensible about it. Don't over eat.
But as you should know, under eating also causes your body harm. You're not getting the nutrients you need.
Now as for your mother, I'm sure she'll be angry. She'll get mad at you and she might blame you. But I'm also sure that she'll help you get help. Because she wants you to be healthy.
Just remember that being skinny isn't everything. Being healthy is. And these are two very different things.
If you need anymore help, pm me.
Good luck.

i think i developed an eating disorder because of my mom. she used to tell me i was fat, and i never was...never wore over a size 4...though that does seem fat to me now because i'm down to a size 0. but anyways, she noticed me drop the weight, i didn't have to tell her anything, it's pretty obvious if you are doing it effectively. she was definitely concerned, but for a while i mistook that for her being jealous that i was skinnier, now she watches what i eat. never got mad or forced me to get professional help, just was there for me

They will take it harder if u wait for the doctor . U gotta tell them and get it over with. The punishment will be worse the longer u wait. Trust me.

My best friend was confronted by her parents about it, they were quite mad.
