I know that they have a serious problem that needs to be taken care of delicately... but how do they get into it anyway?
Or not know that there's another way?

Are they lazy? Uneducated? What do you think?

They are stupid

I don't think it's either of those. They're not stupid, and not uneducated. It's definitely their choice, but most times, it's usually not their choice to have an eating disorder. You dont just become anorexic overnight, and you dont decide to be anorexic. Girls just want to lose weight, and some go too far with it.

Anorexics are the same as obese people.

Lazy uneducated people.

It is so EASY to eat healthy and work out. But they always complain, they whine but both do not do anything to be healthy.
Obese and anorexics are full of excuses.

Simple as that.

Quite like yourself, then.

You do realise that for a huge number of people with eating disorders, it's initially not about weight? Or it starts with eating healthy and working out and gets to the point where they physically can't control it anymore? They see something completely different when they look in the mirror than what we see? That it's a mental illness and not a choice?

Some aneroxics work out excessively so don't say they're lazy.  When ever they look in the mirror they see an obese person, theres a problem for them to communicate what their image is in their mind as to what it actually is in reality.  You're a small minded person who has never dealt with friends or family who have issues like these.  Yes it is possible to overcome these problems but you should support them instead of insult

They're sick.

It's a sickness that usually requires hospitalization and therapy :/

this.
i know from personal experience.
you don't even realize whats happening until its too late.
most people don't CHOOSE to be anorexic or bulimic, it just happens.

the desire to be thin slowly outweighs everything else sometin=mes it starts with something like a parents divorce or even a comment made by a friend that you are fat and just slowly progresses into a full blown ed.
