| I definitely understand where you are coming from here. One of my close friends had an eating disorder, and wanted me to promise not to tell anyone. It got pretty serious though, so I felt like I needed to tell someone, just for safety's sake. She was pretty mad for a while, and felt like I broke her trust, but ultimately it ended up being for the better. It's hard, because you don't want to lose their friendship, but you also don't want them to seriously hurt themselves. I think it would be best for you to tell someone, even if it's just your parents. They may be able to advise you the next best steps to take, or even have them take it from there. Your friend might be mad or upset, but hopefully she will eventually realize that you did it because you cared about her, and you didn't want to see her go through this. I would just be prepared for a possible rocky time. =) |

| If you dont trust her parents then tell your parents or some other trusted adult. there are support groups and counselors who can help her before her condition gets worse |

maybe talk to her parents? they should know and they can take care of it
oh and don't worry about her hating you because if you were a good friend you'd get her help
No telling her parents isnt really an option... They wouldnt take it well Her dad would be very angry I dont want to put her through that
would you rather her dad being angry or her dying of malnutrition?
Bulimia isn't malnutrition. They eat plenty, the health risks are more to do with the organs and stuff. If you are in the same school you could talk to a teacher about an anonymous friend and then if you feel comfortable with telling that teacher. You could ask him/her to talk to your friend?
I really do think that is the best option But we are best friends and im nearly certain the teacher would assume it is her and i made a promise to her that I would never tell But i think i need to tell someone Thank you for the help |
