One of my close friends had an eating disorder, and wanted me to promise not to tell anyone. It got pretty serious though, so I felt like I needed to tell someone, just for safety's sake. She was pretty mad for a while, and felt like I broke her trust, but ultimately it ended up being for the better. It's hard, because you don't want to lose their friendship, but you also don't want them to seriously hurt themselves. I think it would be best for you to tell someone, even if it's just your parents. They may be able to advise you the next best steps to take, or even have them take it from there. Your friend might be mad or upset, but hopefully she will eventually realize that you did it because you cared about her, and you didn't want to see her go through this.
