Only my friend's mom knows.
i'm so scared.
I'm scared of:
-Telling my parents, if they'll be mad, won't take it seriously, or if they'll blame themselves.
-other people finding out, and me not getting treated the same
-not being able to have the choice to purge
-if i don't get help now, then what will the future bring? Will it just eventually get so bad that i die?
-When/if my parents find out, i don't want everyone watching me eat like i'm a little baby.

I'm so afraid. Not neccisarly of the disorder, but the effects on my life that it could bring.

No matter what the reactions your parents have, they will want to get you help and be there for you to help you get through this. I would say you need to get help now because as you asked yes bulimia can kill you. It can cause bleeding ulcers, esophageal cancer, or cancer in your gums. Bulimia can cause vitamin deficiencies and heart arrythmias. There are many therapists and support groups out there just waiting to help you if you are willing to accept it. You are not alone.

You won't need to tell anyone anything if you feel you are able to handle your problem on your own. Want to quit? Try. See how long you can go without binging.

from experience with not so much this but other stuff the best thing  is honesty it shows your mature and it shows you want help and its the best way to go people may seem mad at you but trust me its the best way just tell your folks and they will help you and support you through this troubled time

if you dont want ppl to treat you different tell them how you feel.  and your parents are guna find out somtime so, and i think it would be alot eaiser for you and them if you just told them and laid it out on the table instead of them catching you, you not being able to explain yourself and then they might be mad at you and they will probabbly take it seriously, thats not something to joke about.  Good Luck though

You should tell your parents, don't worry about them. Worry about yourself.

I know what you mean. Sometimes the telling and the getting help is the scariest part. But you do have to do it. Otherwise, this will not go away.

Telling your parents will be hard, and it will be humiliating. But they can get you the help you need. Explain it to them, tell them it's not their fault, it's not your fault, and you want to get help. You don't have to tell anybody else. Just them.
