I recently went to my doctor about my eating problems and he referred me to a specialist. I got an appointment the following week with an NHS specialist.

In my opinion that was suspiciously fast, especially because people always complain about how long it always takes the NHS to sort things out.

So is a week fast for this sort of thing? Does that mean that I'm considered an urgent case? Because I was just wondering if maybe the system is slightly different for eating disorders...

How old are you? If you're under 18 they tend to refer eating disorders pretty damn fast.

I'm 17. Literally only a few months off being 18

Depends how serious it really is. if you are on the red line then yes they will have pushed it. because it looks bad on thier record if someone dies being ignored of an eating disorder.
