I tend to purge, especially now, during the holidays, when there's christmas cookies and more food than there'd usually be when I'm on campus.
Every time I do it feels like I still haven't completely gotten rid of the food I put into my body, and it makes me feel heavier than I was before I did it.
I'm miserable.
I hate this.
I -hate- this.
It happens all the time, almost every night, I want to stop, but I can't, and it's awful.
I need help.  Please.
Can you give me ways to stop purging, and stop overeating in general?

try to limit the food you take in. Only eat at meals

I don't know any strategies to stop purging, but if you binge before hand, a good way to combat it is every time you want to binge, fill a cup with ice and eat that.  It should give you the satisfaction of chewing and swallowing from binging, and last you long enough for your binging urge to go away.  Voila.  No calories.

The only way you're gonna get through this is by seeing a doctor. I think it goes beyond just "tips" on how to stop this, you need medication. Good luck.

Agreed.
