Its like with a drug addict, Do you think they enjoy stabbing themselves with needles...no it is the rush that comes with it. Normally anorexics do it in order to be skinny and that is there motivation. For bulimics losing weight is a motivation as is the fact that when you vomit youre body emits dopamine to help you feel better and done enough times can give you a high.
Thats not really what I was asking. I was asking how they do not pass out and whether their body gets used to that little food, because If I don't eat of eat very little i get shaky and feel faint.
as i said, i haven't got an eating disorder, but i would imagine that it's not really about "maintaining" the disorder when it becomes a way of life that cannot be changed.
i suppose it all depends on how much someone with an eating disorder is taking in.

And I just have no desire to eat. I used to keep it up because I was insecure and stuff, but when I start not feeling well I eat more because I'm a reasonable person. I figure it's something like that, but without the being reasonable part. Because if I don't eat for a day like I feel super faint But how did you function, like I said I get light headed if I don't have breakfast sometimes. The want to be thin must override any sense of maintaining well-being. Yeah but like don't you pass out? I don't know, that's around when I start eating normally. I watched a video in health about three years ago and the girl ate very very little and lost a ton of weight and exercised and stuff and eventually she passed out and had to be taken to the hospital. But I think that was a few months in. All I can do is speculate.

Quote: from blufindr at 12:32 am on Jan. 9, 2009 You ignore it after a while. I don't notice I'm hungry until my body makes a massive protest about it, and sometimes that doesn't happen for like a week. (I do actually eat, but in very small, very few portions) Do you not get cravings and stuff though.

I've reached that point where the thought of food makes me feel physically ill.
Hmm... its like feeling fed up with being fat.
I know what anorexia IS, I just wonder how people function...also do you lose your appetite completely or are you just always hungry and ignore it.
