| You can search for philatelist order magazines online, go to hobby shops, or start collecting now by going to a post office and buying sheets of commemorative stamps that you like. Some people collect stamps with a similar theme: space for example and do so worldwide Some people collect Full sheets, some collect individuals, some collect first runs. A good way to start out is by getting a collectors book which lists lots of pictures of stamps and you place (in a specially designed holder) the stamp over the picture. First off regardless of how you do it you want to get some nice cloth white gloves, a tweezer with flat tongs, a magnifying glass. |

Haha, this, basically. I'm a stamp collector, and that's essentially how I startled although these days I've been collecting pre 1960 stamps for some reason. I definitely recommend getting a stamp album of sorts-- it keeps you organized-- and then get some hinges or mounts. |
