I've been drawing all summer and uploading them to deviantart. I've definitely improved and since I've moved onto digitally colouring (using PhotoShop) my portraits.

She's my latest, and I think she's my best so far, but there are a few things I've noticed I need to fix like her hair, for example.

Can someone give me some more constructive crit? but also please tell me what you think is good, eh? lol

Many thanks - I'll be back in a few hours so apologies if I don't reply for ages.

Oooh! thanks you guys :)
*and saves proportion guide image*

I knew her chin/cheeks were too fat but I couldn't adjust them very easily >_>

Thanks for your comments, they've been really helpful :)

Her jaw definitely seems big, or at least her chin does. Her eye seems small, but it's hard to tell because you didn't draw the other one, so there's nothing to really compare it with. Her head seems kind of big too, especially the forehead. Try taking a copy of the picture and putting a layer over it with a basic design of the head - the circle with the lines where everything should be placed: http://artyfactory.com/portraits/images/proportions_of_a_head_2.gif (For reference if you're not sure what I mean, I suck at explanations sometimes).

Either way, you know how to draw a face but it's the proportions that seem odd. But proportions is always the biggest issue lol.

I like it, except that her jaw seems a little big

the lips need to be evened up on the left side, but apart from that it's really good =]
