I've been working on photoshop seriously for about a year now, on and off though.

Not to brag though but I think I know quiet a lot of different techniques/tools. For sure best at my high school, maybe here also. I know just as much as my college graphics professor technique wise..

but uhh ahah yeah
I know I'm not the greatest and there are manymany people that surpass me buttttt

how much do you know?

The career of graphic design is mostly freelance work which is good when you are in your 20's but not something you can base your life off of.  Without bennies you are kinda fucked.
I plan on working for a firm or something where I can get benifits and steady pay but I've also always been interested with being a teacher of design or graphics..

so maybe I can first work at a firm..then teacher/freelance designer..

you better be damn good if you want to get into a firm.  The graphic design business is so saturated right now that it is very hard to get jobs, and it will only get harder as more and more people graduate and enter the real world.

Its actually rather difficult to get into a firm.  Most will try and get you to do freelance for awhile first then maybe give you a salary with bennies.

a lot.  that happens when you major in graphic design and photography

too bad it was a damn waste of time

ahh uhh

  ???

 ...what?

how was it a waist of time, because graphic design is the field I want to get into...
and also if you don't mind can I see some of your work?

it was a waste of time for me to study graphic design because I'm simply not passionate enough about it, and photography was a waste of time because I dont need a degree to do the type of work that I want to do.  So, I wasted 3 years of college on something that I didnt need.

I only have photography work on the computer.  All of my design work was gotten rid of when I got a new computer.  I havent done anything design wise in over a year.

I know a decent bit, I've moved away from Photoshop though, I'm more interested in Illustrator.
yes, illustrator is very fun also, I try to combine the two together whenever working on an illustration

Not very much. I'm only in Photo 1.

My pics are pretty good though!
