Drawing an object versus a figure is very different and so to judge your potential properly, I would draw something different. Drawing is more than lessons.. it's being able to draw your thoughts in a way. I'm going to college to become an art teacher, and I can safely say there is just no teaching certain people to draw. Maybe you should do a grid drawing instead of trying to free-hand?
