it's pretty decent, really. the eyes are probably his/her 's strong point. but it needs more technical work. I've definitely seen better.

art is what it is. this has spirit. actual emotion. technicality is not required.

Technical skills shouldn't be criticized when you're looking at work like Amanda Visell's (www.amandavisell.com) or anything comparable where stylization comes into play.

But when you're doing portraiture, you better have your technical skills up to chop.

*sigh* well, I'm not quite feeling the "emotion". and yes, technicality is required if you or him/her want to get anywhere. it's true, emotion and spirit will get you past the guy who just has technical skills, and no passion whatsoever, but how many of those people do you actually know? even so, it won't get you *that* far.
again, I've seen better. work with more passion, or spirit, and understanding.

oh yeah. dali or something. this isn't what we're discussing. you're disqualified from discussion.

Ah I am loving some of the art from th link

I like it too. You can tell the artist already has their style. That's hard for a lot of artists to find their own individual style and then stick with it.

Maybe this should be made into a contest and lw can vote.
