"Take a portable DVD player, watch some movies. Listen to music, radio, CD player, tape, MP3. Take a long some video games or electronic games. There are lots of varieties, see what interests you the most. Get one of those laptop pillows. The bottom feels kind of like a bean bag, but the top is hard like a desk so you can work on it. Take color books (age?) crossword puzzels, word searches, sudoku puzzels, etc. Bring a long a couple of books to read. Take magazines, school work, etc. Go to the library or book store and look for roadtrip books. I used to have one when I was a kid that was so much fun. It was filled with fun activities and games to do while I a road trip. Search online, there are lots of activities recommended online that would be fun. Some favorites are license plate bingo (mark off license plates from different states as you pass them, first one to make a row wins). Play nature bingo, or street sign bingp (same rules as license plate, just with street signs or birds, grass, etc.) Play the alphabet game (Pick a subject, i.e. fruit and one person starts with the letter a they say apple, next person says apple and then something with a b, bannana. This keeps going on, as you miss a word you lose. Last person remaining wins.) You can always take some food a long as well. Always good to keep you entertained. Take a camera or camcorder and record the trip as you go. It will bring back lots of memories later and you will be glad you did. Take a notebook and keep a journal of your vacation. Bring along a travel book of your destination and plan some things to do while on your trip. Or look over what you are already planning to do. I hope this gives you some ideas. There really are a lot of things you can do while on a road trip. Just a little creativity will take you a long way."

If you can read without getting carsick, read. Other than that, bring some GOOD music and I guess just use the time to have those talks with her that only someone who is on a long car rid would have.

Get a tv in your car and start playing Wii (Tennis in the front seat, watch that backhand!) :D just kidding. You should probably just go and get a PSP kind of thing to play during the trip
