I am from Baltimore and I visit there all of the time even though I live 45 minutes away in rural Pennsylvania.
I think it has a lot of character despite being on of the most crime-ridden cities in the country. Their subs are really good and the Inner Harbor is pretty fun, but the coolest spot is near Hopkins University at the Baltimore Museum of Art.
I also like to ride through the neighborhoods where my parents grew up which are places few tourists would go but nonetheless are cool because of the rowhomes and memories from when I was little and went to my grandparents rowhouse. Here is a picture:

So who likes Baltimore?

Catonsville- SW Baltimore, right? I don't know that area well.

I believe so. It's a town that was listed as one of the best places to live. Also, a town where a lot of people spend their whole lives and if they go away come back. However, I plan on going away out of Md for college. That's not to say I won't come back to Md sometime down the road but I highly doubt I will to Catonsville tho it is nice.

Cool. I'll have to check that area out some time. I doubt I'll go back to Essex. There was never anything interesting there, but I could see myself living in a rowhouse in one of the better parts of the city some day.

Yeah, it's amazing tho how expensive it is to live down the city. I was in NC at the beginning of June on vacation with my best friend, and I was looking for the prices of HUGE homes there you would get a small apartment in the city.

I have only heard bad things about it. Like seriously. I don't know about it, but with it's reputation as one of the nation's most dangerous cities, I'll let that alone be my reason for not visiting.

Haha, you just gotta know where to go and where not to.

Which is hard if you aren't from there or with people who lived there most of their lives since driving like 1000 feet can take you from a decent neighborhood to a place you wouldn't want to walk around even in the day.

looks boring
it probably is..lol look at it

It's not bad you just have to know where to go. He simply posted a pic of some row homes that isn't Baltimore.

Actually that is from the Cedonia/ Garden Village neighborhood in Baltimore.

I understand that..I was simply trying to say that wasn't all of Baltimore or what it looks like.

  I see. I misunderstood you.

 Yep..like heres the Inner Harbor..

What part of Baltimore are you from?

Essex in The County, but my grandparents lived in Gardenville and Cedonia in the city so I spent alot of time there. Plus both of my parents grew up in Cedonia. We were there alot when I was little.

Ok, gotcha.

It's a great place to go if you want to get stabbed.

from what i understand baltimore's homicide rate only occurs in small pockets and is mostly stems from drug related incidents between people who know each other

Not from what I've witnessed.

i've only been there for one school year, i'm still figuring baltimore out

towson is more fun at the moment

I read a book based in Baltimore and it didn't paint a very pretty picture.

As far as the city goes there are safer areas then other like most cities. The safer parts would be more towards entering near the Inner Harbor and those places.
