I have 3 herniated discs in my back which have given me intense pain and a curved spine for 3 months. My doctors at school did not help at all. Now I've been given a cortosone injection in my back to ease the pain and will see my physical therapist for my first real appointment this evening.

My buddies and I had planned to go to my Vermont cabin and wanted to go tonight after my appointment but now I'm thinking that it might be a bad idea for my injury to be in a cramped car. Also, New England got hit hard with snow and my friend might not be able to drive my jeep well b/c its a 94 and a stick shift.

Any advice? I could go on Jan 2 if I cancel one appointment.

the sooner you feel better, the sooner you can do things with your friends

I might just take 2 vicodin and make a nice liedown spot in the back of my jeep.

I'm going to ask my physical therapist this evening. If he says NO WAY then I won't go. If he says it's not a big deal then I'll go.

If you go to Vermont you will likely be miserable the whole time, but if you're going after the appointment then see what the doctor says. I just have this mental picture of you in extreme pain in the passenger seat of the car bouncing up and down while your friend randomly breaks traction and grinds the gears on your jeep and gives you whiplash to compliment your back problems.
