How much research did you do on the matter?  My sister is pregnant now, and there are so many things I never knew about pregnancy.  I mean, obviously the typical no eating sushi, no alcohol.  But I didn't know that you had to eat hotdogs completely heated up, or you couldn't eat deli meat.  I didn't know you couldn't go get a manicure if the fumes are too high, and that you shouldn't do things like painting rooms and things like that (it can cause the child to possibly develop something like Cerebral Palsy from lack of oxygen).

The list goes on about these things, and I knew there was a lot of things, but I never realized just how much...

So... for those of you that are pregnant or have been pregnant, how much research/knowledge did you know about these kinds of things?

Honestly, the girl can eat hot dogs raw.. and she can have deli meat.  Then again her doctors may advise against it, because it's not exactly that healthy normally.

Tell her after she's done researching what she can and can't do to make sure she looks into the development of her baby.  That is simply amazing.

Yep - I have CP as a result of lack of oxygen. Good you are doing your research.

Lol, well, my sister did the research.  I'm not pregnant.  But she's done PLENTY of readings on all of it, from how the baby develops, to what to expect when the child is born and all that stuff.

But I mean, certain things I knew, but I just wondered how knowledgeable someone in the teenage years might be on the matter.  I mean, I just wonder if everyone pregnant realizes that there are a great deal of things that they can no longer do or that they have to be conscious about.

Yeah, and also that you can't dye your hair. You can't carry heavy things in your 3rd trimester. and other stuff. I used to help out at a OB/GYN for clinicals
