Most people aren't putting her down, they're trying to get her to look at her situation maturely, impartially and most of all, realistically. Lots of girls want babies. 14 year old want babies. 12 year olds even want babies these days. It doesn't mean they should purposely have one. ;-) And just because you're doing well doesn't mean she will, especially if she rushes in to this completely uninformed and going on hormones and misinformation/stereotypes.
