Replies Monroe Posted at 8:19 pm on Dec. 26, 2008 I only see one line. I'd say it's negative, BUT...a lot of times a home pregnancy test will show negative. The question here is whether or not that is discernible. It depends on what you call a discernible line, but at least in the medical field the line needs to be prominent (perhaps not equal in colour intensity), and not faint. A faint line can appear just be the passage of the liquid through the medium. At least when my dad did a blood test for a bacterial infection from my aunt, a fait line could be seen, but nowhere near the strength of the control line, and it was ruled as negative for the bacteria. Just go get a better test then.
