Are Braxton Hicks contractions supposed to hurt. I've had a few in the last couple of days and they hurt and some were like a cramping in my vaginal area. But they always stop and it's not more than 4 in an hour. But is it normal for them to hurt and feel like cramping?

Yes, it's normal.

Don't worry, labor pains'll hurt worse =D

From the TV shows I've watched, they are just like real contractions with the pain and stuff, but they are different because they are non-productive (not pushing the baby out) and they are irregular in length and the space between them.

I would definitely call your doctor and let them know what's happening, because if it turns out you are in labor, you could have a side-of-the-highway baby.
