We're here because hes struggling to breathe... I made sure to tell them that and we've been waiting for 2 hours to be seen. im getting frustrated.

Is he making a barking cough? That sounds like a baby seal? If so, it's likely Croup, which can be terrifying. My son's had it a few times now and it sounds like he's suffocating.
