and she has already stated she has no wish to adopt out
I missed that.
Not unless you set up an open adoption, and even then it's not guaranteed.
Well, if she's able to set it up in advance then it seems like that would be a reasonable option.
If she can't afford a $700 abortion how is she supposed to afford a $7,000 delivery?
I've heard adoptions often involve some form of reimbursement. I could be wrong, though.
So, have you given any thought to adoption? I'm afraid I don't have much idea, but it might be more economically viable, at least. Also, don't try to terminate the pregnancy yourself, because you could end up with a severely disabled child, though I'm sure you know this.

If you're to blame, you're probably going to be stuck with a baby, considering you're probably almost 3 months pregnant. Vitamin C does not work, either. How do you figure that? LMP was in mid-November. It's just barely January. She's not even 2 months gone.

Yes. I'm 5 1/2 weeks at the most. They offer abortions here (from what I've researched) up to 13 months or so in some places. I just was hoping I might make it to the clinic in time to get the mifeprex pill so I don't have to go through the surgical procedure. I have heard it can be somewhat traumatic. But I'll deal. It's my fault after all.
I checked for SC abortion clinics and I probably found the two that you already know about: This one offers surgical abortions through 11 weeks for $450 to $500. The Mifeprex is only offered up to 56 days and is $525. http://www.charlestonwomensmedicalcenter.com/ This one offers abortions from $340+ and does mention student discounts (not sure if you qualify for that but just saying). http://www.atlantasurgicenter.com/ As someone else sugg ested, if you have a Planned Parenthood near you, you may want to stop by and see if they can offer you any help. Is there anyone you could ask for help? I realize that privacy is important but if it's a choice between privacy and birthing the child, I'm sure you'd give up the former pretty fast. It might be worth it to suck up the pride and ask either set of parents and/or relatives and/or friends for a loan.

You're probably right about my pride. Thank you for your research. I did already look those up. I am considering the first if I cannot find a better way through planned parenthood. I have always been the girl no one would picture having a child. I'm more the strong executive type woman. Me and my fiance are kind of like the couple in idiocracy who keep focusing on their career and putting off the child. Only we screwed up and now we're like everyone else. I've been saying since I understood the concept of reproduction that I would never have children. Now that I've finally met the right man for me I've started to consider one day having a child. When I'm 30 or so. And this has thrown a wrench in our whole plan for life. Well...shit happens and I know that. Lets just hope we can learn from our mistakes and make the best of a bad situation.
