opinions? I know its natural but I feel like its somewhat inconsiderate when women just whip them out and don't even cover them up, I know they need to feed their kids but most places have rooms for it or they can simply cover themselves with a shawl..

Breastfeeding is legally protected.

It's so annoying how people want it absolutely their way; no babies on planes, no babies allowed to be fed (via breast) in public but they also absolutely do not want to hear babies crying anywhere at any time.

It doesn't work like that.

My bottom line is that you can either hear my baby scream or I can feed my baby and it can be quiet, your pick. If you're going to harass me for trying to breastfeed then fine, I'll just continue to meander the store and follow you around for 30 or 40 minutes and you can explain to everyone else in the store why they have to put up with screaming.

I'd rather mothers at least try to cover up. It does make me a little uncomfortable, but I understand that it is not always convenient/possible for the mothers to do so. Like for example, when I was on a plane once, a mother who was beside me started breastfeeding her kid. It wasn't really something that I felt comfortable with, but I just turned my head and looked on the window and I was fine. Basically, I'm kind of in the middle with this one.

this is what im tryna say.. what have i started!

This pretty much.

I think there's absolutely nothing wrong with it. I do agree that it would be respectful for the woman to cover herself with something, though she shouldn't need to go to another room to do it.
Jubilance Posted at 7:45 pm on June 23, 2012
There's nothing wrong or  inconsiderate (as the OP put it) with breastfeeding in public,

I find it ridiculous that so many people think a woman should cover up when she's breastfeeding her child. Breastfeeding is natural and no woman should be shamed into covering herself just because it makes you people uncomfortable.

I don't feel like women should be forced to cover up.

but i think it's better if they do. just out of respect for the fact that not everyone shares their views on "nudity"(I know it's not real nudity, but whatev). Just more considerate, but should be viewed as a courtesy and not a requirement

Where I live, I have never seen a parenting room and no baby should be breastfed in a public washroom.

I'm pretty much right on here.
Yes, it's natural, but a lot of natural things aren't allowed in public either.
Some people aren't comfortable with a strange lady whipping a boob out at random in a public place. Personally, while I do plan on breastfeeding when I have a child, if I have to do it in oubliette I fully intend on covering up.

Its my opinion. Get over it. The OP asked for opinions and I gave mine. There are others in this topic who agree. I expect no one to do anything other than accept that different people have different opinions and move on.

Not much point then really.

Good good.

lol, what is that woman trying to do, smother her child?

there doesn't seem like an awful lot of room to get fresh air in there, i mean it totally covers the entire baby, how ridiculous.

Its made of a light breathable fabric. And its not all that uncommon.

still retarded though. why on earth should a mother go through all that effort cause a few people are offended?? if they turn their head away then it achieves the same thing for ZERO cost.

  o_o its ten bucks.
If a woman can't afford a 10 dollar cover up then maybe she doesn't need a kid. Also it would be simple and cheaper to make their own. And its not like just a few randoms would be offended. Its just using common courtesy. You see it like eating a sandwich and a lot of people don't. Lets agree to disagree.

There's a lot of people with a lot of strange views, even beyond this topic. Why should they be pandered to when breastfeeding is a beautiful, natural thing?

Natural yes, but beautiful is your opinion.

It's certainly not disgusting like some natural things.

What's the problem with seeing titties? Can't we all just be mature about it? If you have a problem seeing a breast or two then you have problems, and you should seek help for that and not try and make the mother cover up, whether a cover costs $10 or not.

There is absolutely no valid logical reason to have to cover up breast feeding other than to appease bigoted morons who are too retarded to see breasts differently in different situations. They are nice for sexytime, yes, but they are also for feeding babies. It's pretty fucking simple.

Like a lot of things, it's not a case of "that's my opinion so shut up". Opinions are not always valid, especially when you expect people to pander to you. If you hold such stupid opinions then either keep it to yourself or (and this is what I would recommend) seek professional help with whatever issues you have. (this is not just aimed at you, but everyone)
