Im trying to impress her. When she was at the library I sat at the same table as her and pretended to read an encyclopedia. Then I got my friend to make a fake conversation with me in front of her and I got him to ask me complicated math questions and I would say the answers. Of course I had already memorized all the answers from a cheat sheet beforehand. I dont think those things worked. Next i'm going to pretend I have a deep interest in philosophy. Im not sure if that will impress her. Do any of you have any advice on what I should do now?

People already suggested that you ask her for tutoring....Maybe you could ask her for homework help or something? You mentioned trying to pretend to study philosophy; Maybe you should just read up on lots of different philosophers and their beliefs. I used to know almost nothing about philosophy, but when I joined the speech team, I had to do a performance that had lots of jokes about philosophers and things like that, and all I did was google their names and I found out tons of stuff that makes me sound extra smart when I tell people about it. I didn't even have to do a lot of reading. Why don't you see if you have any legitimate interests in common or ask her to tutor you.
