| I think that's a very disrespectful thing to do in a relationship. |

| What is and what is not cheating really depends on what the rules are of your individual relationship. Many couples do not feel comfortable having their partner openly (or even secretly) feel a desire or attractiveness to other people. For me and my relationship, this is not the case. My partner and I are very open and understanding (and we've even agreed that we would like to try threesomes and stuff of that nature, which many couples would not be ok with). Personally, I feel it would be quite immature and overly sensitive to feel that simply seeing attractive qualities in someone else (i.e. calling them sexy) would be cheating. Flirting and cheating, for some, are synonymous. For others, they are far from each other. I am fine with my boyfriend flirting, in fact, sometimes I even like it and want him to do so. Many couples would not agree with me, and your couple may be in that category, but that is not something anywhere here can answer for you. Many of it is trial and error. Understanding how sensitive your partner is is an ongoing process. Learning what upsets him (or her) and what they seem to be ok with is not something done overnight. That is why relationships blossom as they continue. Talking about your worries and desires with your partner is, I feel, very important. Accidentally making a mistake that deeply hurts your partner and can forever ruin your relationship, well that's no fun. In short: My personaly opinion is that finding someone attractive is ok, so long as you are honest about it. Dishonesty is generally not something that your partner will be ok with. Even though I may be open and ok with my partner flirting and doing more, if I were to find out that he were HIDING doing those things from me I would still be very upset. |

That is NOT cheating. You can think whatever you want, but when you act on your thoughts it's cheating.
I agree with this |
