I'd rather tell a girl I like them online cause it's way less awkward, and then if you (officially) ask them out in person you know if they'll say yes or no, but what's your opinion?

I happen to like a girl who I talk to online more than in person, and I'm thinking of telling her I like her on AIM or whatever. But this doesn't always happen a guy asked my friend put by text and they lasted a few months. All 5 previous replies displayed.
