We are both in band and she sits RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!! Despite that, I can't say a word to her even if I try to force myself to do so. I have never talked to her before because I am too scared to even say "hi". This is probably I have always FAILED with girls. Can anyone tell me how I can increase my confidence and and say something. Also, is there a chance she knows I like her? If so I am screwed.

I wouldn't be surprised that in your head you're building her and this conversation up to be such a big thing, that when you actually have to have it, or want to have it, it's just too huge to actually find the words. Feeling nervous when talking to a pretty girl for the first time isn't unusual, regardless of age. She's in front of you in band, so I presume you play the same/ similar instruments. Ask for her help with yours, say something isn't working, or something like that. A meaningless little conversation that doesn't actually mean anything but breaks the ice. Always good. How can she possibly know that you like her if you've never spoken to her? She's not a mind reader, and I'm guessing you don't spend all your time staring at her. Your problem is you're blowing this up into such a big issue that you're never going to feel comfortable about it all.
