She should contribute in the relationship in other ways... but in this situation, YOU'RE the one driving there. I mean, it's pretty stingy to divide up the money and "pay you back" for what you paid to visit her. I don't think she even realises that you see an imbalance. If I was in her position it wouldn't occur to me to offer and pay gas money.
