so i always thought i'd be truely happy if i had the perfect girlfriend right...and ive believed this for a while...well over the last 6 months or so ive been with my friends a lot and i have a lot of them and i laugh everytime i'm with them and always have a good time and go home in a great mood...my new theory...i can be truely happy with just being with my friends and getting some here and there...and if a girlfriend comes along take it but always keep my friends first no matter what

That is a good outlook...however try to look at it from this point of view.

There should be three parts of your life, each equally important, and none of them capable of influencing the other parts.

Your Family, Friends, and significant other.

Therefore your family cannot choose your friends or significant other.

Your friends cannot be used as a way to avoid family obligations, or be determinates in dumping a sig other.

and your significant other cannot overrule your friends or family. Ultimately each choice will be your own. =)
