I don't mean the best band ever, or that its members are the best songwriters or even the best people ever.  The Beatles are simply the BEST E-V-E-R.  All that needs to be said about their musical prowess and influence already has been said. We all know the band shaped popular music and pop culture more fundamentally than can be expressed, that its continuing preeminence is evident by the way it continues to OUTSELL today's artists 40 years after breaking up.  Can this honestly be said, or predicted for the Backstreet Boys????  It's been less than a decade since they split up - and they have been all but forgotten, because they were all style, no substance... He probably thinks hes a failure. Get him a job. Yes, you need to get him a job, whether its at McDonald's or as a store clerk. Once he feels like he's helping the family, he'll get a job that suits him. Stay home. Thats by far the best thing you can do for your family. Take some courses at the local community college, and get a job. Not like a fast food job or anything, but a job that can help you and you may be able to advance. I'd strongly recommend taking the iron worker's exam, maybe even for both of you. In New York, an iron worker can make over $200,000 a year. I'd suggest putting off college a few years, but strongly recommend taking courses at the community college, like I said before.
