I'd probably be more concerned for them about how they must felt to be using such strong language, and then obsess about the degree of malice later. It's human nature to do so. Whenever my ex an I would fight I would say the MEANEST shit to him, then the next day feel super bad and call him and apologize for my unruly behavior.
